Corporate Banking: Making report generation a breeze!

Accenture Song embarked on an exciting redesign project for a top bank in Thailand, aiming to modernize their corporate banking website and boost user acquisition and transaction activities.

For client confidentiality, all project images, content, and branding have been redacted.

The Process

As a design lead, I had the privilege of co-leading talented design squads, overseeing research activities, and owning epics as well.

One key step in the team’s discovery process was doing an audit of their current client-facing platforms.

One pain point that caught our attention was the time-consuming process for companies to generate and download financial reports.

Design Sprints

We made simplicity our mission, incorporating intuitive touch-points beyond the platform into our screen designs and user flows.

Given the limited sprint duration and the 100+ kinds of financial reports a user can generate, our design team collaborated closely with developers to work smarter.

We carefully reviewed each report's criteria, identified commonalities, and created templates that met the initial requirements, such as report type and date.

This seamless collaboration ensured smooth development for both front-end and back-end teams.

Usability testing giving direction

Despite our best efforts, we encountered challenges during subsequent user testing.

Participants expressed discomfort, citing frustrations with findability due to extensive customization options and a lack of clarity on where to find specific features.

Design Iteration: Let the Magic Happen

Undeterred, we embraced two key principles to level up our design game:

a. Embracing website continuity and incorporating elements like notifications and transaction detail pages to keep the experience flowing smoothly.

b. Allowing user to generate key reports from the successful transactions
